Shri Lingaraja Temple

The Lingaraja temple is the largest temple in Bhubaneswar.It is a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva and is one of the oldest temples in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the East Indian state of Odisha. The temple is beautifully decorated with immaculate sculptures of gods and goddesses, musicians, hunters and dancers. The temple is 180 feet tall and has 64 small shrines, apart from the grand shrine for Lords Shiva and Vishnu. Also visit the Rameshwar Deula (known as Mausi Maa), located 2 km ahead of the Lingaraja shrine.

Shri Rajarani Temple

Locally fabled to be named so for being a resort for Oriya Kings and Queens, the temple actually gets its name from the unique sandstone used for its construction. The Mukteshvara Temple is found to be the earliest work from the Somavamshi period. This is a 10th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The carved lion-head motifs were amongst the first carved images during the time.
